After some time and testing we have come up with our Mesh Vest. This is no flimsy piece of mesh strapped over the dogs back. This Mesh Vest is actually a vest your service dog can work in. It is designed with heat, humidity and water in mind. This is an excellent vest for those water rescue dogs and those service dogs who work in the summer heat of our southern states. It is not restrictive to the dog because it has only one girth strap and the shoulders are cut high enough that the dog has excellent leg movement in this vest. The vest will stay in place and be functional as a highly visible tool when locating your dog. This vest is made from three layers of various meshes for strength and stability. There is a reflective strip that runs over the back of the vest and on both sides. The front chest strap is heavy 1” webbing that is two way adjustable. The girth strap is heavy 2” with heavy 2” Velcro for an adjustable closure. The vest comes with a LED flashing light that can be turned on, off or flashing. On top of the vest there is a heavy D-ring that is attached into the girth strap so you can attach your tracking line onto the vest itself. This vest comes with two patches of your choice (regular heavy patches, not specialty patches), and we would be happy to attach your organizations patches above the S&R patches for free. The Medium vest will fit a girth from 25"-29" and the Large will fit a girth from 29" to 34". Colors to choose from are Blue, Black, Orange and Yellow. Note on Patch Choices: Service Dogs have public access rights under the ADA law to enter public property with their disabled handler. Therapy Dogs do not have ADA public access rights. A Therapy Dog is one that meets the needs of others, such as visiting nursing homes, hospitals, reading groups, etc. A dog that is therapeutic to its disabled handler is a Service Dog.
